Photograph three thin translucent ice slabs leaning together like pages, each enclosing a different small botanical fragment: a violet petal, a curled fern tip, and two pale seeds. Place them on wet white marble against a soft gray-blue background. A low sunbeam passes through the slabs and projects faint violet and green traces onto the stone. Keep the slabs uneven and beginning to melt, with cloudy edges, beads and visible air bubbles. Compose as one intimate sculptural group with the front slab sharp and the rear softened.
