LocalBanana is a visual intent workspace for AI creation. It helps you turn references, rough ideas, scenes, poses, moods, and styles into AI images, cosplay concepts, posters, and reusable visual directions.

Is LocalBanana just a prompt gallery?

No. Prompt text can be included, but it is only one implementation layer. LocalBanana is organized around visual intent: references, composition, mood, subject, output format, and the creative goal behind the final result.

What can I create with LocalBanana?

You can create AI image directions, cosplay and portrait concepts in Studios, poster directions, campaign visuals, moodboards, and reference examples you can reuse later.

How do references work in LocalBanana?

A reference is treated as a source of visual cues, not something to copy blindly. You can use it to capture pose, lighting, material, layout, mood, typography, or camera direction, then adapt those signals into your own output.

When should I use Cosplay Studio?

Use Cosplay Studio when the output depends on character identity, costume, pose, props, lighting, camera, and scene. It is useful for role photo planning, costume concepts, and character visual direction.

What is Nano Banana AI?

Nano Banana is the unofficial nickname for Google's native AI image generation feature built into Gemini and Google AI Studio. It uses advanced multimodal AI to create high-quality images directly from text prompts. Key features include: photorealistic image generation, understanding of complex multi-part prompts, seamless integration with Google's ecosystem, and support for multiple languages including English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

How does Google Gemini's image generation work?

Gemini's image generation (Nano Banana) works by processing your text prompt through a multimodal AI model that understands both language and visual concepts. The process is: 1) You enter a text description, 2) Gemini analyzes the semantic meaning, style cues, and composition hints, 3) The model generates images that match your description, 4) Results appear in seconds. Unlike older diffusion models, Gemini uses a native multimodal architecture for more coherent results.

What are the best keywords for photorealistic Gemini prompts?

For photorealistic results in Gemini/Nano Banana, use these proven keywords: Quality terms: 'photorealistic', '8K', 'ultra-detailed', 'sharp focus', 'high resolution'. Lighting: 'natural lighting', 'golden hour', 'studio lighting', 'soft shadows', 'dramatic lighting'. Camera terms: 'shot on Canon EOS R5', '85mm lens', 'shallow depth of field', 'bokeh background'. Style: 'professional photography', 'editorial style', 'cinematic'. Combine these with specific subject descriptions for best results.

Does Google AI Studio support negative prompts?

No, Google AI Studio and Gemini do not support traditional negative prompts like Stable Diffusion or Midjourney. Instead, use positive phrasing to guide the output. For example: Instead of 'no blurry', write 'sharp focus, crisp details'. Instead of 'no watermarks', write 'clean image, professional quality'. Instead of 'no extra limbs', write 'anatomically correct, proper proportions'. This approach works better with Gemini's architecture.

What aspect ratios can I use in Gemini image generation?

Gemini/Nano Banana supports multiple aspect ratios that you can specify in your prompt: Square (1:1) - ideal for profile pictures and social media. Landscape (16:9) - perfect for desktop wallpapers and YouTube thumbnails. Portrait (9:16) - great for phone wallpapers and Instagram stories. Wide (21:9) - cinematic ultrawide format. Standard (4:3) - traditional photo format. Simply include the desired ratio in your prompt, like 'aspect ratio 16:9' or 'widescreen format'.

Why does Gemini sometimes refuse to generate images?

Gemini has built-in safety filters that may block image generation for several reasons: 1) Content depicting real public figures or celebrities. 2) Violent, explicit, or harmful content. 3) Content that could be used for misinformation. 4) Requests that violate Google's usage policies. To work around legitimate blocks: use generic descriptions instead of naming real people, focus on artistic styles rather than specific identities, and rephrase prompts to be more abstract. If your creative prompt is blocked unexpectedly, try rewording it.

Can Gemini generate accurate text inside images?

Yes, Gemini/Nano Banana has improved text rendering capabilities compared to earlier AI models. For best text results: Keep text short (1-5 words work best). Specify the text in quotes: 'text saying "HELLO"'. Include typography style: 'bold sans-serif font', 'elegant script'. Mention placement: 'centered text', 'text at bottom'. However, longer text or complex fonts may still have occasional errors. For critical text accuracy, consider adding text in post-processing.

How does Nano Banana's prompt understanding differ from Stable Diffusion?

The key differences in prompt understanding: Nano Banana (Gemini): Uses natural language understanding - write prompts like you're describing to a person. Handles complex sentences and context. No need for prompt weighting syntax. Better at following multi-step instructions. Stable Diffusion: Uses keyword-based prompting with specific syntax. Supports prompt weighting (keyword:1.5), embeddings, and LoRAs. Requires learning specific trigger words for models. More technical but more precise control. Migration tip: When converting SD prompts to Gemini, remove technical syntax and expand keywords into natural descriptions.
